What Our Clients Are Saying!

“I recently had to retire my 27-year-old quarter horse and decided that I still had the energy for another horse, even as a “Senior Citizen”. I purchased a 6-year-old, fairly green haflinger gelding. Macki came into our lives when he was just turning 9 and “WOW” how she has brought him along. He can now canter with BOTH leads!!

Being a driving horse, the canter was tough for him, but Macki with her consistency, patience, and determination has done an outstanding job. He is definitely more balanced and has become a great trail horse which is my passion. Macki is honest and kind to the horses, loves them, and patient and understanding of them. I would recommend her to anyone that needs some help training their horse. I would be lost without her. She loves what she does and it shows.”

“Macki is the best. From the day we met she has never wavered. She is honest, patient, consistent, kind to the horses and her positive attitude is remarkable. Macki's years of riding and experience in a variety of venues makes her knowledge of horses and horsemanship invaluable.

Any questions I have or services needed are welcomed. Macki is open to listen and offer her skills learned by actually doing. I feel very fortunate to have Macki as my trainer. ”

“Just before being started under saddle, my now 4 year old thoroughbred suffered a pasture injury and was on stall rest for 12 months. Despite initially considering selling him out of rehab, I was fortunate enough to meet Macki just as he was ready to begin rehabilitation under saddle. She took on the challenge of his first ride as an unstarted baby who could not be turned out or lunged, and I could not have found a better fit.

He’s gone from a stir-crazy baby who knew nothing under saddle to now stepping over his first ground poles, and I couldn’t be happier. Throughout his rehab, Macki has taken the time to get to know him as an individual during training and has always stayed kind in the face of his baby moments. She goes above and beyond both in and out of the saddle, taking care of him as though he were her own. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a trainer, your horse will appreciate it. I know mine does!”

“I would wholeheartedly recommend Macki Hamblin to work with your horse. I purchased a horse last year who started out wonderfully and then within weeks turned into a different horse. If I hadn't had Macki willing to work with him and give him confidence, I don't think that I would have kept him.

We live in a very urban area and he was clearly not accustomed to that environment before arriving. Fast forward to now, I am happily riding him on 7-12 mile rides and he is doing amazingly well. Now, when I ride him, I see things that I think need tweaking and she rides him the following week once or twice and I get back on and the things that I asked her to work on have been adjusted. She is a very confident rider on all types of horses and most importantly, she is patient and fair, with a gentle hand. My horse is a sensitive fellow and she approached him in a manner that gave him his own confidence. Do not hesitate to put your horses in Macki's care. I am certain that you will be pleased with her training methods and results.”
