Thoroughbred Classic Horse Show 2022

12/28/2022

Connected Equine was so grateful to be a part of the Thoroughbred Classic in Burbank this year. TCHS is hosted by CARMA, a charitable 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing funding for the rehabilitation, retraining and/or retirement of California-raced Thoroughbred horses. They have helped more than 4,500 horses through their grant program and you can check out more information about them at https://www.carma4horses.org/ Mo is a 5yr OTTB that is co-owned by myself and Nina Styczen. He has only been off the track since March of 2022 but is a natural all-around showman. Nina showed him in both the jumper ring and hunter ring with great success. Sunday I showed him in dressage and we received two blue ribbons with a 72% and a 74.14% which earned us the high point of the show! Victor is a 4yr TB who has only been under saddle for 5 months. He was great in the busy show atmosphere and rode through his first dressage test on Saturday. Sunday it was pouring rain and he showed off by getting the second highest score of the day with a 74%. His owner, Angela, was extremely proud of his performance! This boy is going to be a stunner in the 2023 show season. It was a great way to finish off the 2022 season and we are excited for many fun things to come.

Mid-Summers Days Pomona Dressage Show 2022

12/28/2022

WOW! What a fun and wonderful show we had in July! Connected Equine took 4 horses to the show in July (3 horses for the Western Dressage classes and 1 for the Traditional Dressage). A huge congratulations to all of the horses and owners that made the trip up north. All of the western dressage horses came away with blue ribbons! Congratulations to Sharon's horse Saddie at Level 1, Peggy's horse Will at Intro level, and Kim’s horse Electra at Basic level. None of these horses have been to a show, let alone in a dressage court, and they all behaved like pros. Electra even came away with the Western Dressage high point! Mo made his dressage debut after only 3 months off of the track and one month in training. He was so calm and relaxed and not a hoof out of place for a young horse. I can’t wait to see this special horse's future. Everyone on the Connected Equine team had so much fun. We loved the organization and hospitality of the Pomona CDS Chapter. It was a super well run show and everyone was welcoming and encouraging. Also a huge shout out to Tianna and Alyssa for helping with all of the baths, show prep, and show day organization. They had everything running like a well oiled machine. We look forward to their show series in 2023.
